    Default Perma bans

    Should be lifted.

Or at least a 60day amnesty to re-register.
The economy is tight and so is this forum. Just a suggestion.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I do think there should be some sort of year or two long intermediary ban. Obviously, some should never return. Others, like Dave Dalton and several others should be able to return.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Having been around forums for a long time, the problem children are always the same problem children no matter how many chances are given. I have seen a very select few that could get themselves under control but that is a rare exception.

Dave was one of the reasons for this thread. I miss reading a lot of the threads by the banned members. I always thought permamans were juvenile.
If someone breaks the rules, time out. If they keep breaking them, time out, isn't that what we have mods for? Now we have the other site for the people
that dont want to come back here or were permabanned from here,.

The forum was a better place when a few of the perma banned were here.

Back when some of these guys were here some of the current mods if they were here would also have been banned.

Many of the perma-bans seem to end up banned elsewhere as well. Some people are incapable of interacting with others in an acceptable manner. There are a few that acted out of character but they didn't do it uninformed.

    What ever.

Are you following them around looking to see?

    Nice.

I am signed on over at PA2A and I've seen some of the same folks catch a ban there as well. Someone posts about Wakefield getting in trouble here or there on a regular basis. So no, I'm not following anyone around, I'm just aware of what's going on.
