Default P-238 report and a question....

Took my P-250 and P-238 out to the range with my wife.

I have to say that the P-238 shot the smallest groups I have ever had with a semi auto pistol. I used hollow point "low recoil" ammo. In a heavier .380 where there is none to begin with it was a pleasure to shoot.

I have a question. Saw a Galco leather front pocket holster, which is where I carry my CCW. But my pistol fit in in "snug as a bug". Although the holster indicates design for use with the P-238 it was tight in there and hard to draw. I assume, over time, that it would loosen up. My question: Is there anyway to expedite the process? Do you think I should look for a different brand holster? Thanks....

Put the gun in a plastic bag and jam it in the holster. Leave it sit a day. It'll stretch it just enough.

This is the holster I use (if it's the same one you're talking about)

I've been very happy with it, after a fEw weeks it broke in nicely. I never heard of Lycanthrope's method, I'll have to try it sometime!

Wrapping the unloaded gun in wax paper and holstering will expedite the process too. Add layers of plastic bag underneath to add thickness as needed. Don't go too thick, or the holster will be too loose.

THIS holster is available at one of my local gun stores for $24.00. What do you think? Is it a good price? I LIKE the leather idea....

I like it a lot, I got it at Cabelas maybe 3 years ago, I don't remember exactly what I paid but probably around that same price. It's much better than the crappy vinyl one I initially bought.

I usually keep in in the holster when I pull it out of my pocket, it sticks to the gun well and not so much sticks in your jeans pocket. (it is very clingy to my jacket pocket which is felt lined). When I practice draw it comes out of my pocket with the Sig and I remove it in one quick motion as I draw. YMMV but it works for me.

I use a Desantis Superfly. Very sticky and stays put without being tight on the gun.
