New to area
Well, I'm new to the area, and to shooting. I live along the I-70 corridor in Washington county. Looking for a place to take my new rifle out to shoot and try it out. Preferably a place that does require a huge membership or anything of that nature. So a public place.
Outside is fine with me. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you

Never been there, I believe it is out by Claysville.

Yea I saw that some where. Wonder if it's anything decent and how it looks. I might just have to go scope it out and find the exact rules and regulations of it.

Re: New to area
The state game lands range in Claysville is nice for what it is. 7 or 8 benches and 100yd range.
I used to go there quite often.FOAC Member, NRA Member

Re: New to area
Thank you for the web pages. I will most likely go check out SGL 245 after work and see how it is and send in my permit for it. Any suggestions about this area to be aware of?

I belong to Long Branch Sportsmens club which is close to Rt 70 near Speers. Not too far from Belle Vernon and worth the $50/year. Indoor pistol range with 24/7 unlimited access, 100 yard rifle range with no limits on drawing, speed shooting, whatever. PM me for more info.

Re: New to area
Just keep your head on a swivel. I've never had problems at one of the state game land range, but I know others have in terms of unsafe shooters.
A friend of mine just joined here so I'm guessing they are taking new members-
