Re: slip2000 poor results...
I don't lube my guns or clean them...well rarely. I've never had any malfunctions, let alone a malfunction related to lack of lubrication. Pretty sure most firearms can run for a long, long time without cleaning or lubing. However, lube would make a difference in retarding corrosion depending on how much humidity the gun is exposed to over time.

Re: slip2000 poor results...
I've been using Slip EWL & EWG for about 5 years on all my guns & haven't experienced any rust or lubrication issues. Even with my 1911's, which should be run wet, I take them to the range with whatever lube is on them from the last cleaning & shoot hundreds of rounds without issue.

Spit is better than rem oil. Didn't use slip 2000 yet.

Re: slip2000 poor results...
I agree with all you guys I think it should run without much lube at all but it jammed like shit that day. I'm testing it in my 22 rifle, marlin 60 to see.

Re: slip2000 poor results...
I can not see running a gun without lube. Moving parts mean friction, oil or grease allows much less friction and less wear.
I use Rem oil, or CLP, or Hoppe's oil and sometimes a little grease on the rails. Never had any problems this way. Treat your gun well.

Re: slip2000 poor results...
I have had no issues with slip2000 EWG (extreme weapons grease). I use it on all friction bearing surfaces in my firearms.

Re: slip2000 poor results...
So I tried it in my shield for the last few outings and I think it did ok, not great just ok. I cleaned with breakfree clp today and got more out of the barrel so I cleaned with hoppes and recleaned with clp and I'm done with slip2000. I haven't used the ewl and don't care to, my clp works great and I have like 4 bottles of it. I also think weapon shield is better then slip2000 by far.
