Re: Handgun range open to public with rentals near Pittsburgh?
Shawn,
I really appreciate the offer. I'm out of town that weekend (3-day weekend!). But I would love to take you up on that sometime.
I currently don't own anything, but I'm looking to purchase in the very near future. Ideally I could shoot a CZ SP-01 (my frontrunner), springfield XD9 5", glock 17/34, S&W M&P9L, and SIG P226. I'm certainly open to recommendations of other competitors based on what I'm currently considering, too. I don't really know how flexible rentals are. If I had to rent each gun for an hour when I really only need to shoot a magazine in each, I'd probably only shoot 1 or 2 of them. Spending 20% of the cost of a new gun on rentals is not my idea of a good time.

Try A&s in Youngwood. They rent guns and you can shoot a used gun you are considering for $ 10 bucks you get 10 rounds, target, range time, eyes and ears if needed. A great deal if you are considering a gun and want
To try before you buy. 724-925-1212

Re: Handgun range open to public with rentals near Pittsburgh?
I went to the Iron City Armory indoor range today as a member no less and was told that I had to buy both targets and ammo. It cost me $43.87 for 100 rounds of 9mm, 100 rounds of 22lr & a silloute target. You might not want to go there and you definitely don't want to buy a membership. From what I understand the outdoor range is history.

Re: Handgun range open to public with rentals near Pittsburgh?
I have been a member at Iron City Armory for the last two years, the indoor range was 5 minutes from my shop and 10 minutes from my house. I did not renew my membership this year due to his rule changes and instead I joined Keystone Shooting Center.
Keystone is up the road 30 minutes, but the VERY nice facility and acceptable range rules are what got me to join. My wife stated that she would continue to pay for the PMSC membership so that we can shoot out there during the good weather months.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.
