I'm the new match director too so if you want I can squad you with me so you don't have much to worry about and not knowing anyone or anything
That would be awesome. Ive done a fair amount of pistol shooting in and out of the military but I haven't done anything like this yet.

Guy's hate to butt in but I am going to do it anyway.
Are these IDPA matches opened to the public, and is there a link to the club?

I need to get active again his spring and summer.

The other guys would know better than me but here is the website and it looks like the action pistol and cowboy action shoots are open to the general public(you don't need to know a member).

I will be posting he info for the matches this year so yes there will be info. It is open to the public

The matamoras action pistol is a hybrid of idpa and uspsa. Mostly uspsa rule set with idpa scoring and a mixture of the stages for both long and short. Typical round count is probably going to be about 100-125 rounds and I should do a side match every month as well.
    You'll need
    Knowledge of your pistol
    Holster
    Mag holders x2
Three mags minimum I bring 12
Belt for gear does not have to be a duty belt or anything like that. I wear a riggers belt.
Ear and eye pro and other range accoutrements. I believe the cost is 20 bucks I have to look again

I think it was $15 general admission and $10 for club members
