I gave the info to my buddy but I'll be drawing up and detail measuring the square footage next trip.
    Sounds good thanks!

A couple posts back, I mentioned a couple good sized trees down at my friends camp.

    We cut one up.

    20170802_105429[1] by poofy27

The township came by and said they would do the other. After 3 weeks, they did stop.
Man, I would liked to have had the backhoe. Ha.

    Rifle season coming up soon.
My buddy and I are at the camp, kinda getting stuff ready. We are waiting for a delivery of 200 gallons of kerosene coming about mid Nov.

I fabricated and we installed a deer hanging pole
Initially, we were looking at rigging a hanging hook off one of the larger trees pretty close to the house. The trees came down in a storm as noted in previous posts.
We ended up with a 4" and 3" steel pole as shown in my deer hanging pole thread. One pic here:

His 2 sons are coming up for a few days during rifle season.

We are also waiting for him to get a few estimates of roof reframing. Some Amish builders in the area were suggested so along with an estimate from them, he wants to get a few additional estimates.
It's too much for this old man.

The end of Jan will be 2 years into this camp.
We have done quite a bit so far and have as yet to put a cleanout on the septic tank and reworking the sanitary piping next spring.

My buddy wants to use the 17 foot high deer pole as a base for an antenna

    it continues

We laced a 1/4" cable through the pulley.
My buddy has an old boat winch he'll bring up after Thanksgiving. I'll get another pulley and some cable clamps.

We are going to paint and decorate the pole with lights for deer season and Christmas.
    Why not?

    Spotlight on pole.
Lights and black and gold paint? Maybe tree shaped string lights or a 4 foot diameter peace sign? Ha

The rain has screwed me up for archery hunting so far but i did rewire the light for the medicine cabinet.
I drilled a hole into the wall behind it, went into the attic and drilled down through the plate, fished a wire in, connected it into a box up there and bingo, medicine cabinet lights up. Old owners drilled down through the wall covering to hook up that light but never finished it.

Finally, Finally. A use for the 17 foot high, flanged hanging pole.
Hopefully, it will hold up if I get 2 at the same time.

    Number 1.

    Number 2

    2018-04-19_08-31-24 by poofy27, on Flickr

I was surprised at how few fish were caught around me.
The other 2 guys got nothing.
The rain came all night long, creeks rose and turned to muddy waters. I got sick and ended up doing a couple days of electrical rewiring in camp.
The 4 original circuits were 14 /2 with no grounds.
I pulled one and replaced it, added a duplex device in the room i use, tore out unused, dead ended wire and ungrounded runs.
Also reworded the electrical survey and made a map with devices numbered to circuit breaker numbers..

It's good that they have the front labeled on that box, I'm sure it saves a lot of confusion.

Front. I didn't notice that earlier. Ha.
The way things are wired, it probably a good thing it's marked.
They hard wired the dryer. No.plug.
    I installed a dryer 220 receptacle.
The Sob still works. We used it for temporary heat in the shed while adding another outlet and more lights.
The wringer washer they left works too.
I'm going to add a hot water line at the new outside hose bibb with individual valves.
We can then run 50 feet of hose, fill the washer with eirher hot or cold water from the bibb.
The wringer washer has a drain so no residual water will be left in the unheated location.

Ok, the never ending saga of my buds camp.

I recently changed out a toilet. The owner wanted a comfort heigth
The 15 YO Mansfield I took out was as clean as any toilet I've seen so I offered it up to my buddy.
He said yes to the elongated.

Now, the old owners put a new floor in the bathroom but instead of removing the toilet, they form cut the 3/4" plywood around it.

    2018-11-24_08-08-07 by poofy27, on Flickr

I cut out a larger section.

    2018-11-24_08-20-56 by poofy27, on Flickr

Since I couldn't get under the house (later, we will chop an access hole), I cut a new piece of plywood, drilled a 4 1/2" hole in it and cut it in half to fit around the pipe.

    2018-11-24_08-08-52 by poofy27, on Flickr

One thing I didn't take into account was the slope of the floor. The rough in I moved out to 11 1/2" which should have given me 1/2" clearence behind the toilet but it sloped too much and the tank didnt fit (too tight against the wall). I ended up trimming what they had left and recessing the tank about 1/2" till we chopp the access hole to put all new drain pipes in.
