    Sounds good , but I'd add;

    13. If you ever need to draw or use your weapon , don't talk to police without a lawyer!
    I don't speak English , I talk American!

    I saw a guy the other day that may have been OC. He was wearing a sweatshirt with the elastic at the bottom that would cover half his fobus if he pulled the shirt down all the way. He was constantly adjusting and touching his gun and holster. I'm guessing whatever belt he was using wasn't working with his sweat pants too well.

    .....Don't talk to police without a lawyer!

    Sensible advise. Unfortunately TV and the movies have convinced John Q. Public (including jurors and some cops) that the only people who "lawyer up" are either guilty of/or hiding something.

    Sad that exercising your rights can be a double edged sword. It sucks. Thanks Hollywood.

    Good list. I'd move #10 to #1.

    What does #1 entail? What is a proper mindset?

    And motivation for what? I carry for defensive purposes, not offensive.

    This. ALWAYS THIS.

    Situation Awareness will save your life a lot sooner than your holstered firearm will. In fact, it will ABSOLUTELY dictate your well being till you avoid the fight or catch up with it.
