Need some input on a Glock
Looking to make a purchase in the near future. I had a G19 but had to sell it due to some financial issues a few years back. Now I'm looking to get a replacement and having trouble making a decision on which model to get. I really liked the 19 but felt it was a little big to CC. So I'm considering the G26 but also the 43. My concern with the 43 is capacity. If I had the money this would be a lot easier bc I would get the 19 for home and either the 26 or 43 for CC. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: Need some input on a Glock
Glock 19 chopped to 26 length would be the best of everything. I had a 27 and found the width a little tough to CC in the summer and during work. I eventually sold the 27 and now have a 19 and 43 to cover all bases.
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

The 43 is great, it can fit in my pocket with a Taran tac +1 giving me 8. I put xs big dots on there which I find OK, I may switch those to match my hackathorns on my 19. The 43s trigger is comparable to standard glocks as well. I started a thread call Glock 43 vs shield, take a look at that for a more detailed review

Get the 19. For the small difference in size the 19 is the better choice for shooting it and it carries just as easy. The 43 it a big fan of even though it fits a niche it's not worth the extra capacity of the other 2. I went through this just a little while back and now have a Gen 4 g17.

Looks like this is becoming a weekly conversation.
All the opinions to your questions are in the below thread. If you felt the 19 was to big to carry then the 26 offers little change in my opinion based on owning them all including a 17 and 43.

Use to carry a 27 as my off duty choice.. I now carry a 43 and I have not looked back. Capacity to me is not a concern.. It's is it comfortable enough that I'm going to carry it every day? To me the 43 is that pistol.

Is there a range you can rent a 43?

I agree capacity is one of those subjects that gets over thought and can be taken to the extreme. The 43 or a Shield with a spare mag(add ext here) carried on your belt is a nice comfortable rig that fades away. Magguts.com also makes a +1 replacement spring and steel follower for the 43 without any added length to the magazine.
