Default POLL: LaserMax vs Crimson Trace

Wife wants a laser on an EDC 380. I've narrowed it down to LaserMax vs. Cromson Trace.

Hate the design of Viridian and the instant-on every time you draw from holster is even less desirable for practicing without it. I'd prefer a green laser for better visibility but that doesn't seem to be an option for Crimson Trace. She tried out a CT grip-activated piece and loved it. If they had it in green, there would be nothing to think about.

Which do you prefer and why? I see pros and cons for both. I'm not factoring price into the debate because for my wife;s safety, the few bucks saved or spent doesn't matter to me. I'd likely go with what she prefers (the CT) but if I can show her why the button location on the LM is superior and it makes sense to her, it will work out.

LaserMax pro = can choose to activate or not activate whenever you want
LaserMax con = you have to think about using it when you need it
    LaserMax pro = green available
LaserMax con = tougher to find holster, I've researched

CT pro = activated on firing grip always
CT con = activated on firing grip always, need to practice without it too
CT pro = reactivated on firing grip alwaystutation for being more reliable
CT pro = holster options more plentiful
CT con = only in red
Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

I've had (although no used for a piece) a lasermax guide rod in a glock 26. Zero problems with reliability.

Upon reflection (pardon the pun), I'd have passed. I think a lot less of the laser as general construct than I did at the time, something which I firmly chalk up to "seemed like a good idea at the time."

Has she shot something with a laser?

Don't vote in polls on principle but I went with CT for a few Glocks and a Sig thus eliminating any possibility of malfunction.

Handled, aimed in a store, yes. Shot, no.

She wants to carry something that is really her own every day, so I'm going to get her what she wants in the end. Having a hot wife who wants her own gun isn't a problem to complain about.

I'll probably spring for some fancy Cerakoting for her slide too. Ladies like pretty things.

And if she uses the laser a while and doesn't like it, I can always take it off and sell it.

Crimson trace is considered the God father of all laser products there no better then them. That being said I never saw the need for laser since it doesn't make you a better shooter in anyway.

What 380 do you have ? Was checking CT's site and there is multiple green lasers available.

I don't really care for any add on type laser devices for my handguns but I have been looking at a Lasermax guide rod set up for my Glock 21.

I've been doing the same for my G19.
