Re: 2016 NFA wait time
About what I figured.
The idea is that MY wait time can/will be considered a Time Base for everybody else.
If you're waiting on a Can and I'm still waiting on mine then know you have some more waiting to do. Conversely, when I DO get mine others out there can know that their waiting period should be nearing its end.

Re: 2016 NFA wait time
FINALLY!!!! Approval and Stamp came Saturday 12/3. Check was cashed on 4/11/16. That is just short of 8 months. Classic example of Government bureaucracy at work. Picking up the Griffin Armament Optimus tomorrow.

My May 9th form 1 efile was approved Nov 3, 174 days. I'm late on the update, forgot to post it when it came back.

Re: 2016 NFA wait time
These are my observations from the last year and a half playing the nfa game
Form 1s are faster than form4s. I believe it's because they are already entered and don't have to be done. Not always but on average. That's not factoring in the form 3 to dealer times either.
As we get closer to the 41p deadline times will go up. I've been saying 18 months for those submitted at the deadline. I hope I'm wrong. Some of the times are promising that I've seen.
There is no rhyme or reason for approvals. I've submitted within a week of a buddy twice. One time his came back weeks before mine and another I got mine first.
With 41p there is no reason this can't be automated with the nics check and be instantaneous. Of course if the hearing protection act goes through this is a moot point too
