Default OC'ing at a movie theater?

Some friends and I are getting together today, and later in the afternoon we plan on going to see a movie probably at regal cinemas in Wilson. Has anyone had a bad experience or a non-incidental experience while OC'ing at a movie theater? For some reason, I don't think I'll have any trouble. Most places I go 98% of people are just going about their lives and don't notice. If they do catch a glance they probably equate it to a cell phone. The only way I forsee an incident is if some soccer mom goes into convulsions and calls the police.

First it`s uncomfortable in theater seats. Why not just carry a pocket gun.

I think you will find that most theaters are owned by large national corporations.
Corporations who hire lawyers to make policies that can insulate them from liabilities. I am sorry to report that most see firearms as a liability. I have read may posts on firearms forums over the years about movie theaters having a "NO FIREARMS" policy and or sign.

Openly carrying a firearm into such a theater will just cause more drama than the flick. Carry concealed and enjoy the show.

If the theater is not posted "No Firearms" ,openly carrying will cause one to appear in the not too distant future.

I was just at those theaters last month to see Hellboy, I CC'd .... now I looked everywhere I could before I went in and while walking through the place to get to the theater specifically looking for a "no firearms" sign and I saw nothing.

I do believe though that more than likely you will get crap from someone, if not an employee a patron.

I did it one time and it was very uncomfortable. All I can say about that.

I OCed to the theatre in The Shops At Saucon Valley in the Lehigh Valley, an obvious bastion of leftist hippies, and socialist yuppie soccer mom scum. No one wet themselves, no SWAT team appeared, no manager or employee accosted me, no uniformed offices appeared to riddle me with bullets, I didn't even get a second look. The seats there are wide and easily accomodated both my wide posterier and my firearm.

As usual nothing happened. Give it a try and see if they care.

I've oc'ed a few times into movie theaters without incident. I think it may also depend on the time of day. Usually I go on the off hours during the week, so that may help as well.

    Carry it as usual.

Those seats are not very friendly to people who may want to sit.

Shoulder holster remedies the uncomfy seat issue. Not my favorite mode of carry, but beats the hell out of nothing, or the cylinder of my gun jammed into my hip for two hours.
