    Default short range tactical ammo

Can anyone school me on this. .308 is pretty cheap. I am thinking for target or a zombie apocalypse usage only ?
I've never heard of it and first thought they were dummy rounds but after reading, they are real. Sounds too good
    for the price ????

Those are German Nato practice rounds. The case and "bullet" are one molded piece and the bullet rips off when fired. I bought some in the 80's and fired them occasionally. There is no recoil and it will not cycle a semi automatic. I don't remember if I was shooting at 50 or 100 yards but accuracy was OK for blasting ammo. The only problem is they had a big point of impact difference than standard loads. These are not toys though. I shot some 2x4's and they buried the bullet and almost went thru the 2 inch side.

I've shot some in my FR-8. Can't comment on it's accuracy though.

Thanks - I saw it at SOG for $90/500, $170/1000
Could shoot it in my FR8, but if it won't cycle in semi, no good for the PTR91

if you dig around they make a special bolt to shoot this in H&Ks I shoot alot of this stuff through my c91 and sbr ptr91. there are duds, and sometimes doesnt feed but for the cost I can deal with it. http://s1286.photobucket.com/user/US...0.mp4.html?o=3

Resurrecting to ask another question - would this be good for use in 1960's Enfield 7.62 nato's ? Figured it would be a good inexpensive shoot..............

Just don't have any unrealistic expectations and bear in mind this stuff is real ammo, just with a plastic bullet...... watch this video ( the velocities will be higher in your longer barrel. )

dont expect flawless extraction or ejection because the rim is smaller than regular 308

I have a box of these in 9mm. I haven't felt like turning them into noise yet. Anyone know if they're corrosive?
