Default A guy showed me his guns

I was at the range and saw a guy walk into a stall next to me. When he started shooting it was easy to tell it was a low caliber. But it seemed he was shooting more than on gun After the range session out in the lobby, I asked him waht he was shooting. He set his briefcase on the table and opened it. He had a Beretta Bobcat in .22lr, a Beretta Tomcat in .32 acp, a Taurus PT22, a Taurus PT25 acp, a Cobra Derringer in .22mag, a Cobra CA .32 acp, and a Kel Tec P-32 .32 acp. Then he had one big gun, a Ruger LC380.

The guy looked to be about 55 or 60 years old. He said he used to carry a snubby .38 and have a 9mm for home defense. But he bought the Beretta Bobcat in .22lr just for fun. He ended up getting hooked on small guns and sold the .38 and 9mm.

Then he started buying all these little guns. Said he loved shooting them. But wanted one a little bigger so got the LC380 which he sometimes carries and uses for home defense. I asked him which of the little guns was his favorite. He said without a doubt the Kel Tec P-32 which he said has shot flawlessly ever since he bought it new. He liked how thin and light it was, Says he sometimes carries it in a pocket. But he also said he likes shooting them all for fun. At home he keeps the LC380, Beretta Tomcat .32 and the Kel Tec P-32 all loaded. Says he feels well armed at home.

Seemed like this guy had all the guns he really liked.

there is something cool about little guns, I have a little italian 25acp colt clone that is as cool as they come, and a remington RM380 which is great. Also a DB9 diamondback...1911 and 6" 357s are my favorites but those little guns sure are fun.

A little gun is better than no gun. I think the Taurus are basically copies of the Beretta's he has so that seems a bit redundant. I had a Bobcat in .32 and I hated it.

I got a jetfire in .25 last year. I love the little thing. It rides my front pocket almost 24/7 now. Usually I have it as a bug, but if I can't carry anything else it works better than nothing.

The older I get the more I like the peewee calibers. But the irony is not lost that .556 and 7.62 are everywhere but .22 is still harder to find.

I'm considering getting something tiny for deep concealment. A P-32 or P-3AT both sound good.

I still own a Jenny .22 that I carried for many years until the gun makers started downsizing other calibers.

    Nothing wrong with little guns.

I love pocket pistols, and over the years I've owned more than I can count.

Meh. Save for the crazies on drugs most burglars will turn tail the second you start pointing a gun at them and even faster when you shoot at them.
5 shots of .22lr center mass will likely kill anyone real fast.
