    Default Glock Evolution

So my first foray into the striker fired pistol world started out as a Glock 26, then a Glock 19. A little over a year later I ended up with a Glock 17 (probably my favorite of the 3). Being introduced into shooting with a traditional DA/SA, striker fired took some getting used to. Obviously there are pros and cons to both types of triggers. While Glocks are ugly as fuck, there is a spartan quality to them which I have grown fond of. I prefer a Sig with a DA/SA, but you can't deny that a Glock is one effective fighting gun. Gone is the myth that Glocks aren't accurate, which I have heard from a number of people. Glocks will pretty much shoot where you point them (with proper trigger control of course). Gives you just what is absolutely needed, without any of the fancy trinkets usually associated with a higher end gun. I think the next Glock on the horizon will be a Glock 43 (perhaps a Glock 34). Just wondering if anyone else experience was similar and is this considered normal glockish behavior? 😎

Glock fanboys with be glock fanboys. To me, they're fugly, uncomfortable bricks. That being said, they are fantastically reliable and pretty accurate, i.e. they do the job. They do seem to multiply for those that love them--kinda like the well known and studied 1911 disease.

Personally, I'll take a striker with a little more flare and ergonomic appeal with the same reliability, i.e. the FNS
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

Odd. I find that my shooting sucks with my Glock but anything else "will pretty much shoot where you point them".

Glad you like them. If it works for you that's what matters.

I must be an anomaly... I can circumcise a gnat with my Glocks. I have always shot them better than my other pistols.. Sig's, HK's, all kinds of different triggers. I also like the lines of the gun.

Me too. I refused to even consider a Glock for 20 years, I liked my 1911s. I went to order in a 1911 and on a whim changed my mind at the last minute. Picked it up and went right to the range. First three shots took out the x ring. I didn't know if I should be impressed or pissed off.

Now it's like kids, I love them both equally for who they are lol

I have one glock and love it. gen 1 g17. 100% reliable, accurate, easy to shoot and very comfortable to shoot.

Felt the same. But now I'm convinced that my gun safe is big enough to house both of them
But they usually do not go out to range together.
    Not unsupervised anyway.

I cant shoot Glock 17 to save my life(I tried Gen2,3 and 4). Group aren't bad, but they all kept shooting to the left.

My Glock 20 is like shooting laser. So is my 19, 43, and so was the 22.
I'm thinking possibly 26, but I really see no need for them between 43 and 19.

I really hated glock for the longest time. They just dont fit my hand(thus the part of reason why I can't shoot 17) that well.
M&P fits whole hell of a lot better, and usually cheaper then glocks.

Then Gen4 came out, and my whole out look of glock changed.
    I bought 22, 17, 20, 43, and 19(all in Gen4 frame), and they are all great shooters.
(I shamelessly sold both 17 and 22 with couple of extended mags during the panic of 2012/2013 for decent profit)
20 is my current camp/hiking gun, 19 is my EDC, and 43 as secondly EDC.
I thought about 26, but I really see no point.
    I do want 40 tho...
