Re: Glock 19 and a 26 or 43 ?
The 43 is pocketable, even with the more or less flush fitting Taran Tactical +1 basepad. That gives 8 rounds in the pistol (7+1), which is close enough to the 26's capacity to not have to care that much, especially if it's being carried in a backup role.
The 26/27 can take larger mags as we all know, and so with a grip extender it can more or less take the place of a 19/23 or 17/22 too, which is why I don't own a midsize Glock (I still like the full size though). However, it's harder to conceal than the 43 and more or less requires a belt holster or an ankle holster. Pocket carry is out, unless you wear cargo pants all the time, and even then not too comfortable.
So, add it all together, I carry a G22 strong side, OWB, a G27 on my ankle and a 43 in my pocket, often all at the same time, or any combination involving any of the three. All I would need to get is a 26 and I could continue the same size and carry scheme all in 9mm (next purchase will probably be a gen 4 G26).

Re: Glock 19 and a 26 or 43 ?
I carry 19 daily now(except this past 3 days I was stuck with the inlaw in NY!!). I also carry 43 during summer and other occasions.
Ill likely end up with 26 in the future.
So that's my solution for you.
Get all of themAudemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Glock 19 and a 26 or 43 ?
I guess what I need to know is the xtra capacity of the 26 and interchangeable mags worth getting over the concealabilty of the 43?

Re: Glock 19 and a 26 or 43 ?
There is no real difference in concealability between a 19 and 26.
Get a 19 and 43. If you can't carry the 19 for whatever reason, you likely won't carry the 26 either, whereas the 43 is sized differently enough that you might.

Re: Glock 19 and a 26 or 43 ?
Or would a 26 and 43 make a better pair....skip the 19 ?

Own all three Glocks......and a Sig P320 for good measure. Flexibility.....
A Republic, if you can keep it.
