There were some unfounded rumors that Tex was either still living there or close by. The lot across the street from the entrance is cleared. A friend of Tex's who I Bs'd with out there said he was going to build a house there.

From what I heard (again unsubstantiated) he was looking for 3 or 4 times the market value of the land. That was close to 10 years ago.
i wouldn't think IC would purchase it without knowing if it was a viable endeavor to do so.

At this point, looks like it isn't.
Oh yeah I forgot about that row of benches. It's been a long long time since I was there. I always used to shoot from the 2 -story area.

I remember one time I was there, there was a group of younger guys from eastern Europe or somewhere. They kept speaking to each other in some type of slavic sounding language. They were shooting some old Mosin's or Mausers or something and I distinctly remember they walked out on top of the first story roof area and started taking pictures of each other with the rifles pointed at each other's heads and stuff. That's when I decided that I was done shooting for the day.

I loved that place when tex owned it. I wont go into details but had some great times there. Not always shooting related. It was a different time. Many have uttered the phrase " I don't give a fuck". Few have lived it.

Funny that this thread is still active. Bumped into Jason yesterday at his new place of employment. He works at a local tire shop now.
