Re: Iron City Armory Owner Arrested - Goodbye FFL
He better hope the local news stays dumb. The owner has been a "quote whore" for the local TV stations from time to time, and those folks do like a good case of comeuppance....
Just based upon the guy's behavior regarding the range debacle and such, I can't say that karma isn't a bitch.

Re: Iron City Armory Owner Arrested - Goodbye FFL
WTAE aired a segment on "women and guns" yesterday. It was filmed there, but only a woman who runs a training class was interviewed.
However, it may be that she works there/is a partner because she was shown behind the counter handing over guns to look at.
Not really sure.
Aside from dumbass reporter comments like "packing heat", it seemed fairly even-keeled as far as "gun" reporting goes.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Iron City Armory Owner Arrested - Goodbye FFL
My wife and I have both been discussion this situation a lot lately.
She is not a gun person at all, but even she is like, "how could this guy be such a dumbass, given his line of business?"
As indicated in my previous post - we can all make mistakes, in a moment of weakness or in an out of character moment. But my wife had an interesting take on it. She commented that given the wife also has an interest in the success of the business (as a source of family income), you would think she would avoid any police involvements as well, and given the police DID get involved, it must be something pretty bad.Last edited by free; January 19th, 2016 at 12:09 PM.

Re: Iron City Armory Owner Arrested - Goodbye FFL
That explains alot. My son and I stopped in last week to check them out. The fellows at the counter seemed friendly enough. When I attempted to make a purchase they told me they were having some issues and would let me know when they were back up. We ended going over to Federal and dropped a bunch of coin. Glad I didnt wait.
The good part of this is my google search led me to this site.

I found this as well. All the way at the bottom. Not sure what the whole story is but it is never good when shots are fired...

Dang, I need to pay better attention to this section of the forum.
Anyway, glad I pulled the eject handle on that mess. Though I may give it a second look under new ownership after a long cooling off period.Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.
