I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe they'll make it so you can't pickup your brass like the indoor range next.

It looks like they declared Bankruptcy.

Bridgeville gun dealer, range files Chapter 11

A Bridgeville gun dealer and practice range is reorganizing financially after declaring bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Iron City Armory LLC cited assets ranging up to $50,000 and liabilities between $100,000 and $500,000, including $54,898 owed to firearms distributor Amchar Wholesale Inc. of Buffalo, N.Y., and $19,729 owed to Pittsburgh-based Lamar Advertising.

They have permanently closed the outdoor range.

I am so glad I never paid a dime to this range. Forcing people to buy their ammo and targets is disgusting. If they don't allow you to pick up your brass, that's theft! Their hourly rate is ridiculously high.

Then they need to look for different insurance!

That would mean that if their ammo injures someone they are 100% liable for the injury, since they supplied it. If they allow someone to shoot their own, then they can claim they aren't liable for injuries.

Of course, if it ever came to a lawsuit, they would claim that the manufacturer is liable, and try to get out from it, leaving the victim left to fight both entities, the range and the manufacturer.

Many pages ago, a poster appeared for the first time to defend Jason and Iron City Armory. This is my first post, to relate my experience from yesterday.

Not knowing of this forum, or anything about the reputation of this range and its owner, I bought a $200 membership about 6 months ago. The facility is just "ok", not anywhere near, of course to the palace-like quality of the new facility in Mars, and also a clear downgrade from A&S where I've belonged for years but, man, that's a far drive for me. Bridgeville is much, much, closer.

So yesterday I show up to shoot, and I'm asked what ammo I'd like to buy. Huh? Buy? Since when?? The original deal when I signed up with Jason was $200 up front, $20/mo for unlimited shooting, I can bring my own ammo and targets.

Not anymore. The deal's been changed. Now I MUST buy their ammo. I complain directly to Jason, and he flew off the handle (BTW, never mentioning anything about insurance issues), screaming that club members aren't "giving back" enough to the club. And, if I didn't like it, then he doesn't want me in the club, and "get the hell out of my store".

I'm a lawyer. I know what to do now. But I wasn't smart enough to research this guy before plunking down $200.

    Guess some things never change.

Some people just shouldn't be in business.
