You're right, it's a shame that someone with good business sense and resources couldn't open up that outdoor range. It could really be nice with proper ownership/mgmt.

I guess I am new to the convo but I can only echo many of the previous statements. I have never set foot into Iron City Armory but after hearing from many different people (some with personal knowledge of the owner) I will not be doing so anytime soon. I used to keep up with them on facebook and found their prices on new and used guns they advertised to be very high. My thought is that this guy probably made a fortune during the ammo/gun shortage but I don't expect it to last.

I was recently talking with a former employee of ICA whom I know very well.

I would use caution if anyone was considering shooting there. My understanding is that the ventilation system is not working properly because the exhaust system is broken because they didn't want to use HEPA filters due to cost. It was this guys understanding that the exhaust system has been down for at least 6-8 weeks and will likely not be repaired again because of cost.

The EPA could shut them down.

He already has so many fines from the outdoor range you honestly think he would care what the EPA says?

At least $10,000 for a zoning dispute and ignoring a cease and desist order.

So I've been hearing talks that Homeland security was at the outdoor location looking around about a week ago and that the ATF has officially shut his entire business down, indoor and outdoor. I've heard this from several sources now but I was curious if anybody had info on it to support it?

I shot at the indoor range on Monday - so it was open as of 4-3-2017.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

I heard that it was OSHA looking into shutting him down for lack of ventilation and PPE for handling lead.
