Thinking about something with greater mag capacity
After the Paris attacks, I was looking at my firearm supply and I think I should get something with greater capacity. Not necessarily for everyday carry but just to have. I'm mostly a revolver/hunting rifle guy but do own a 10/22 and a Bersa 380. I reload but 9mm seems cheap enough that I probably wouldn't load for it right now.
I would prefer American made but that's not a super firm requirement. And I have a problem with buying Smith and Wesson because of the Clinton deal. I know it's new owners but it still says Smith and Wesson. I've been looking online a bit but haven't been to a gunshop to handle anything yet.
Dollar wise, probably 4-5-600 ish
Suggest away and thanks,

Any one of the Glock models in 9mm accept their 33 round magazine. They also have a plant here in the USA. I'd suggest the 17 or 19.

I think for someone who is new or not to familiar with high cap autos, a Glock is a no brainier.
If you start out with 1911's, you'll hate plastic guns until you finally buy an XD or an M&P. Anything but a Glock. You don't like the grip angle or you think the first 17's that came out were buttugly hunks of plastic.
They're inexpensive, they're reliable, parts and accessories are cheap and plentiful. They're the 350 Chevy of automatic pistolis.
Just for the record, I don't own any Glocks.

Re: Thinking about something with greater mag capacity
If it's not really for carry I'd look at the Beretta M9/92FS or the CZ75B. I am definitely partial to all-metal pistols although I do carry a Glock 23. If you are interested in some high capacity magazines for your 10/22, you can always pick up some BX25 mags.

Re: Thinking about something with greater mag capacity
Today I chose my G30SF with the 9rd flushmag and a standard 10rd backup. I also have spare G21 mags with arredondo sleeve that hold 17rd if 10 can't do it. And there's always the G19 with the G18 mag.
