Re: LTCF woes
I moved from Livingston, NJ over to Cresco, PA. Between the better gun laws, cheaper costs of living (my parents are paying $20,000+ a year on property taxes alone in NJ), having land of my own and being able to do basically what I want on my own property is pretty nice. It just sucks I happened to land in the county with the stupidest CCW permit requirements haha

Re: LTCF woes
Is there any update to the lawsuit pending against Martin? I moved to Monroe a few months ago and been holding off applying because I really don't know anyone in this county.

Re: LTCF woes
not that i have seen. it is a class action and will take time. as a matter of fact, go get your ltcf and see how many illegal stipulations he is still enforcing.
several years ago i submitted my application with NO PA references at all, on purpose. screw the county, i didnt even use an in-state ref.
discussed it a little as they tried to avoid accepting my form but it passed and got ltcf.
it is slim but possible they just haven't updated the sheriff section of the county site when they completely overhauled it last year. thus explaining his illegal stipulations pages remaining while his office is currently being sued for said items.
meanwhile they supposedly did switch away from postcards.
btw, slim but possible. a private company was probably contracted to overhaul site and had no interest in questioning the accuracy of the contents of every single page. There is no way to make it out alive...

Re: LTCF woes
MonteCristo if you still need a ref, I can be your ref. I need to wait until Jan for my 1% local earned income statement from my accountant, but otherwise I am a local resident.

Re: LTCF woes
i was under the impression that whatever theyre doing, it is concealed instead of the old flat 'no envelope' postcard. maybe they just added an envelope. i dunno. tried to convince wife to fill out form, she says "if im not gonna carry, why waste the $25"
while she has a point... it's not a lot of $. (she is pro gun, but goes almost nowhere and just doesn't want to carry right now)There is no way to make it out alive...

Re: LTCF woes
If you don't have and LTCF and you are going to the range to shoot you can't even stop for gas without it, I don't carry but have it for the convenience.
