DuraCoat DuraBlue
Has anyone tried DuraCoat's DuraBlue ?
I have good results with regular DuraCoat but I've never used this stuff. Some reviews I've read say it looks great, others that it comes out too "blue."
I'm building a Uberti Walker kit that is in the white. I'm hesitant to use some of the home bluing kits, because I've had good and bad results with them, and I don't want to pay to get it professionally blued.

Never used Durablue but Ive had excellent results using Oxpho Blue from Brownells. That being said anything that I have taken down to the white I have used black oxide on which is much easier to use and provides a much more even finish then cold bluing by hand.

Re: DuraCoat DuraBlue
Thanks, Oxpho is good stuff so that will be my back up plan. I've heard applying a rust / brown finish as a base is a good start using Oxpho on bare metal. I'll try the Durablue on a piece of scrap and see how it goes.
Either that or just Duracoat the whole thing flat black- that would be one ugly Walker.
