7.62x54R Price Increase
7.62x54R prices are climbing. Why? Is it really all about the Russian/Ukraine conflict or is there also panic occurring? Is this the new 22lr epidemic?

Re: 7.62x54R Price Increase
It's been 25 years since the end of the Cold War. One would have to imagine stocks of that surplus would eventually run out like all surplus eventually does.

Re: 7.62x54R Price Increase
I bought 7 tins (for investment purposes) last year for 109.00 each delivered. The last I checked they were 256.00 per tin from the same seller.
I should have doubled it. Its the last of the high power big caliber cheap stuff out there. The 7.62x25 was cheap a few years ago, now look at it.
Ammo is one of the best investments imo. It might take up a lot of room but you'll have no problem selling it for a big profit.

I would imagine regional conflicts are having an impact in the importation by drawing away supply. I know this has impacted supplies of some AK type rifles as the plants are producing for local consumption rather than exportation. Coupled with sanctions against certain Russian manufacturers this would certainly have driven down supply.
