    Default Firearm values?

Hey all I'm curious what site anyone uses for fair used value for firearms? I have a year old M&P 9mm shield I'm thinking about selling or trading in but want to see what it's valued at?
Any suggestions on a good reputable site or even an app that can help me with that?

    Thanks

Like anything else, they're worth what people are willing to pay for them. It's not a collectible or antique, so you don't need an "official" appraiser to determine its value.

Check http://www.gunbroker.com/ or http://www.gunauction.com/ to see what similar (brand, model, options/features, etc.) guns are currently selling for. Price accordingly.

Armslist.com is another place to look for going prices and find local buyers.

Armslist is a good place to see what people are selling things for.

The lowest a 9mm Shield is selling for now is $319.00 from PSA and Kentucky gun co. Depending where you are in PA there are several places that have them between $330.00 and $350.00. I say a fair priced for a used on is between $300.00 and $325.00 depending if there are any extras included.

A used, current production pistol, in excellent condition, sells at about 75% of a new one can be bought locally for i.e. if S&W Shield can be had for $340 it will likely sell at $255-$275. Trade- in value is about $200 depending on the shop. Upgraded sights or 1 or 2 extra mags might speed the sale, but, rarely move the price much at all.

    YMMV

If you are near Pittsburgh, I'll offer $200 for it.
