.22lr barrel threading
Hey all.
Now a couple things... my .22lr rifle is very old.. 1960s Era Marlin model 80 bolt. It is in great condition.
I kind of don't want to thread this barrel, but depending on price, I might have to. I cant afford to grab a new .22lr on top of the supresor and tax stamp. It's good enough my wife is letting me get the can.
Should I:
A. Use the barrel I have for the Marlin 80
OR
B. By a replacement barrel if if can find one and have that threaded
OR
C. Wait and but a new rifle with a threaded barrel
So, can anyone recommend a shop in the bucks, Montgomery, Philly area that does this work?
Thanks a lot. And have a merry Christmas and Happy new year!

I'd offer an opinion, but you have me terrified of your wife.

Claytons on 611. John Robinson is the GS there. He has threaded barrels for me in the past

This is something that we likely could handle.

Thread what you have. You will be using the can all the time once you get one. We are in Pike County and do lots of these thread jobs. JCBgunsmith.com

Re: .22lr barrel threading
Is there generally a set price for this kind of thing or is it different for every barrel?

Re: .22lr barrel threading
Thanks for all the replies everyone. I ended up getting a second barrel anyway because my current one doesn't have the rear sight. The "new" one I bid on has the rear sight. I will check out both of your shops for pricing, JCB and Kings.
Thanks again
