    Default S&W M&P 40c vs Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro

So I've read about both of these pistols and am trying to decide which one would be better for concealed carry. So, I'm looking for some opinions in addition to the poll. The Taurus has a great reputation and a smaller price tag. The S&W is a great-feeling gun backed by a great company.

    So, fire away!

I know two people that own the Millennium Pros and both have had stupid problems with them.

Between the two, go with the M&P

I personally carry an XD Subcompact and love the function (never a FTF or FTE yet and I have well over a thousand rounds thru it.) and ease of carry. Give it a look at too.

Not sure who you talked to that told you the Taurus has a great reputation...
    They don't.

Voting for the M&P, as I've never owned a Taurus, so I may be a little biased.

However, my .40c has about 1000 rounds through it without a hiccup. It conceals nicely too, since you asked about that.

I have the 9C and LOVE IT its my main carry gun. I can almost garentee that the S&W will be heavier....my 9c is heavier than my full size FN fnp 9......you wont regret getting the Smith

The PT145 has issues with cracking the frame, I have a PT745, which is the single stack version, no problems . . . check out www.taurusarmed.net lots of issues with the PT145.

There are a bunch of XD .40's around now pretty cheap due to the XDM coming out.

Glock (yuk) also has a new .45 acp sub-c out not sure (G34sf maybe), might be worth checking into

    Is there even a comparison.

I have an XD40 subcompact, and I just don't like it. The more I handled it, the more I decided it wasn't a carry gun I like.

I thought the 745 was just about brand new...

The G34 is the tact/prac. sized 9mm......nothing sub compact about it. Their 36 is the single stack .45acp.

The pt's dont have the cracked frame issue any more ..... I Know the M&P are great guns but my taurus is great too.... no problems with more than 1k rounds and a few boxes of plus p too...... but I admit that M&P is nice I was just feeling one up this past weekend ..... maybe soon if pics ever gets their $hit together
