Default "Deer" season is NOT over!

Deer season isn't merely the two weeks during the regular firearm season. To me, flintlock starts the best season of all. Good luck to anyone who is fortunate enough to get out. The deer have calmed down, they are actively seeking food, there is a good chance of snow and there are less hunters in the woods. What's not to like?

Agreed. I put 8 rounds through a paper plate @ 65yards two days ago. She's all cleaned up and ready to go.
I'm holding out for a buck this year. I've tagged a few doe, but never a buck during flintlock. Hoping this will be the year.

    Good luck!

I took the second week of rifle season off for vacation and my back gave up the ghost on day two. Looks like I'm going all or nothing for flintlock this year. Good luck to all. I'm looking forward to it.

I wish we had flintlock season here in SEPA.
Instead, we have an extended firearms season for shotguns.
Up north, I could walk for hours and see no sign of other hunters, here, there is a guy with an 870 every hundred yards away.

I'll be shocked to even see another hunter during the late season.

I would guess that I will be out almost everyday until I head back to work Jan 4. Fired 15 rounds yesterday before the no spark demons appeared. I was trying out my old never used 50 cal 1/28 double trigger RMC. It worked pretty well, but needs some load/sabot development. I may retire my Renegade 54 because it is too heavy.
