Lots o' tags, not a lot of time. Doesn't look like we will tag out this year. I am hoping to put a few more in the freezer this year, between the donations and return "customers" of hand-out venison last year the freezers have some space yet...

Indeed it is. I have started concentrating on finding flocks of birds....

I had 2 doe under my tree way past legal shooting hours but watched them come in to see what they were.
I scared them with a flashlight and a camera flash but they were a bit too far out to see clearly.

I was able to hit my discharge bag at 20 yds, give or take a few inches off center.

So, a great partial day in the woods and I killed the discharge bag. I'm happy.

    One more week.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

I'm hoping to try and chase a couple grouse this week before the season closes.

I would like to kill a few squirrels too.
Haven't made Brunswick stew in ages.

I say this every year and never do it.

Well, it is finally over for me.
I was a candy ass and didn't get out during this last cold snap.
Tomorrow, I have 17 guys taking a recert class for medical gas so won't get out the last day of extended deer in 2B.

It was a great season. I got out as much as I could, got a couple doe in archery and rifle seasons.

So, all in all, aside from dragging one of those deer uphill, I loved it.
I'll wait till we get a little reprieve on temps and start jerkin some deer.
