anti gun antiques
Was going to check out Antiques Marketplace on Bosler St. in Lemoyne today, but as I approached the door, they had two signs conspicuously post declaring, "no firearms allowed". So, in respect of their wishes, I took my business elsewhere. I made sure to let them know about it, and promised to tell all you folks so no one gets offended. I dont care if they have the hood ornament off the Queen Mary in there. I wouldnt set foot in there even to take a leak.

Re: anti gun antiques
From what I gather , most of these signs are mandated by property/liability insurance companies. Not necessarily the property or business owners. I just conceal and ignore them.

Couple people were talking, holding the doors apart when I went in. Guess they must have been blocking those signs from my vision.

Re: anti gun antiques
That's what I was told by pro-gun shop owners who rent their place of business. They don't have a problem. The signs are put up by the landlords at the prompting of their insurance companies.

Re: anti gun antiques
I've only ever seen ONE. So there is no way that is true, or they would be almost everywhere.
I know I've never had gun bans mentioned in any of my business policies. Never even heard of it when reviewing insurance or running a search on the text. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just another data point.

Re: anti gun antiques
i think the renter or leasee has the right to decide what his policy on firearms is. Hes the one whom insures the business and tangible assets (aka renters insurance). The landlord s insurance policies cover the building and as such he cant tell the renter or lease holder jack shit. Its like me owning an apartment complex then acting like lord god bufu telling all of my tenants the constitution doesn't apply to them anymore since their living on my estate. If someones telling you this their full of shit lying cowards, and are making excuses trying to get you to give them your business, because, like they're oppressed by the system man,
And While I was out in Ohio, I saw a shitload of those sticker signage, Some of the ones I can remember, one on a good will store, ironically right next store to a Dunhams sporting goods, and another other on a freaking waffle house.Last edited by bigandy1966; December 16th, 2015 at 09:05 AM.
