Legal to shoot a deer while dragging one out?
Today while dragging my doe out of the woods I got to thinking about if I see a buck if I'd be allowed to shoot it. I believe in the past the rule was that you had to have the deer back to your camp or car before harvesting another one.
I looked through my digest and the only thing I could find was on page 24. http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/pgc/...igest1516/#/24
It reads: "When multiple harvests of deer per day are authorized, only one deer at a time may be taken. Before attempting to take an additional deer, the first deer shall be lawfully tagged."
If I am reading this correctly it seems to me that as long as I've tagged the doe I am free to shoot to fill any other tag I may possess. Is this how you read it?

Just in case someone is not aware, bear in mind that this rule DOES NOT apply to the Southeast Special Regulations area. If you have 3 doe tags and see three doe, you can legally shoot all 3, then walk up and tag them.
