Re: Official PAFOA Harvest Thread (WARNING may be considered graphic by some)
True that.
And to keep up with the harvest theme, I got this guy about 745 this morning 30 yds behind my house.
I went with a crossbow due to it being in a residential neighborhood.
I think the garbage collectors spooked him.
He came running, stopped 15 yds under my stand and ran about 100 yds. At first, I thought it wasn't a good enough hit due to the way he ran and for how far. Turns out I hit one lung and I think the head is stuck in the inside shoulder bone. The far leg is broke.

Ha. Yes the scouting. Not to be misconstrued as hunting without seeing anything.
I put a trail cam overlooking the gut pile to see if the local yotes would come around.
I got a couple bucks, a few doe ( probly like a Wake),
2 foxes and raccoons.
No yotes and the gut pile is rapidly diminishing.
The processor didn't find my broad head in the deer.
I took a metal detector and used it along the 100 yds or so the buck ran. Nothing.
I focussed on the area near where I found the bolt and moved forward.
No luck.
Got both deer back from the processor. Righr now, I'm having jerky I made today with a beer.

I had a good last day of rifle season this year. Filled my last two DMAPs, so now it's time to break out the smoker
