So day 2, I started to think twice about waiting for a buck. My time to hunt would be limited this year, so I figured I'd go for a doe first (which is legal in 2B).

Saw one below my stand on the side I didn't expect to see much on. Was about a 20 yard shot, but really steep angle (probably 30 feet, since my stand was on a ridge). She went about 20 yards before falling down the hillside. When I came to her, it turns out she was a he. Ooops. Still legal, probably wouldn't have shot if I knew he was a buck though.

Interesting coloration. Must have been fun to drag out of the woods. I have problem enough with a buck less than half the weight, and the buck has handles...+
