My first deer with a flintlock. Came in yesterday evening. Got a clear shot at about 30 yards.

Congratulations! In my opinion there is nothing as satisfying as hunting with a flintlock in the late season especially if you're successful. It would be the last season I would ever give up, I've gone as far as to hunt out of state gun seasons with a flint lock but it just isn't the same wearing orange and caring one. They take me back to a different time and place

Got my first turkey this spring. Nice heavy jake with a 5 1/2 inch beard. Who else chases turkeys on here. I enjoyed this spring nearly as much as deer season
