Winchester 70 barrel fitting - Tioga / Bradford county area (pic added)

I have a winchester 70 pre64 magnum rec that I need a smith to turn the shoulder on barrel just a tad so it can be indexed properly and head space checked, anyone suggest a smith who can do the work w/o a lot of BS..

The barrel is fully chambered new take off, an easy job I just don't have a lathe at present.

I know there are some gunsmiths around here but I've not used one yet so I can't recommend one. Maybe check with some of the established gun stores and see if they have a recommendation.

Check the shops like wanneroo suggested they will usually know someone.

There is a new shop in Wysox...Pats Guns (I haven't checked it out yet) That I think I remember someone telling me they do gunsmithing there also....not sure though.

Just curious, what is the barrel indexing to by hand? Normal is about 10-11 oclock before tightening up with a barrel vise and receiver wrench.

I am thinking this is between 9 & 10 oclock on the lineup marks, I will snap a picture & post it.

I may use the rifle for hunting to replace the classic i presently have, not sure, I am looking to get another action and have Kreiger install one of there barrels by next deer season.
