    As Noah said above, no.

However, it would no longer be a PA "firearm" - thus you couldn't carry it loaded within a vehicle.

However, since it wouldn't be a "firearm", no LTCF would be required to carry it openly or concealed(outside of Philly and absent a state of emergency).

I didn't think it would have been an issue. I have the raptor grip, it's awesome and way better than anything else I've tried for a PGO. I don't currently have it installed on a shotgun, but if another Mossy 500 came across my nose for a good price I probably wouldn't say no.

Does that mean "I think all of the legal citations here are wrong" or "yeah, it's illegal, but you might not get caught."

Meaning, you can buy a Mossberg 500 in a PA gun store with an 18.5" barrel and a standard pistol grip, so why the hell would plopping on a bird's head type grip make it suddenly illegal to own?

It wouldn't, but the gun being discussed here only has a 14" barrel. THAT'S what makes it illegal here.

that could be the reason they attempt to close the "loophole" it cant be a pistol because its not rifled, not an aow because its 26"+, not a shotgun because it has no stock. IMO it very well could be a DD (destructive devise) because the bore is over .50" and has no "sporting purpose" (thats how they banned the cobray street sweeper)

You're best off to do a Form 1 and construct one from a shotgun(once having had a shoulder stock). That way you can get the NFA tax stamp and you wont violate PA's Prohibited Offensive Weapons law.

Whoa!!! Is it a definitive certainty that this kind of "firearm" is a no-go and illegal here in PA? I read the info (shotgun never having had a fixed stock on it and all), did some research, watched some vids and WAS all set to set up one of these 14" barelled "firearms".

UGH!!!! It's like a kick in the gut, BUT, if it is illegal in PA am I overjoyed that I stumbled onto this thread!

I really thought I did my due diligence and read up thoroughly on this and was good to go. Darn.

Yeah I'm wondering that as well after reading the POW statute again...it mentions shotguns...but this is not, a shotgun.
