John is the greatest, but will not take in work from individuals unless he knows the person. He poses himself as a wholesale gunsmith that does work exclusively for gun stores and their customers who drop off repairs. Due to township zoning issues, he must be careful as to the traffic knocking on his door.

I had the pleasure of meeting John a couple years back. He indicated he was selling or looking to sell his business. Is he still there?

Correct. Only people he knows. Thank god I know him I did a couple jobs at his house
and hung around his shop for a little while working there. All that work he does by himself. He needs a helper.

no personal experience but Target master has gunsmith service. I asked if gunsmiths could replace gas tube and he replied "you will have to leave it, we are closing soon and I wont have time to do it today", if I remember right it was about 2 hours before closing time.

P.S. Me and my body have plugged up gas tube on AR by shooting 22LR conversion kit and cleaning gas tube with rem oil.... we did not have any better solvents based on acetone or kerosene.
