Default Another ballistic test. Food for thought.

It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

    Good posting

Would like to see the results in 38 special. That would be very enlightening and helpful.

No surprise that the 380 did not do very well.
    gotta love her ;)

Wow! Very well presented and very enlightening....

I was very surprised by the Federal brands - especially the HydraShok. Almost no expansion in several calibers.

It's also interesting how one brand might do very well in one or to calibers but the same bullet design fails in a third.

That gel being sold by Clear Ballistics is very likely the stuff we created while I worked on the Proving Grounds, just licensed out. Very cool stuff. Can be tailored to mimic tissue from brain matter to deep, dense muscle (think quads). Much more reliable results than those gained using standard collagen based gels. No time/temp/strain rate dependence in the usable range.

All published if you're interested to read more. Author names Mrozek and Beringer.

Posted this a couple weeks ago in a thread here. It is extensive. I'll stick with my gold dots for 9/380
