Default Most rounds you've shot in one trip?

I went through 300 rounds of WWB 9mm 115, 200 rounds of WWB .40 S&W 180, and 200 rounds of .223 Remington in my AR. 700 rounds in total. Lots of fun! I'm sure it won't be the highest round count though.

    Welcome to the forum...

My range trips usually include fewer weapons (rounds) because everything gets cleaned when I'm done and I'm lazy.

Thousands. That's the best I can come up with. A group of friends and I used to spend weekends in the Everglades and brought everything we had. Four bricks was about $20. A Charlie's Chip can full of spent brass was good for several boxes of centerfire ammo at Hollywood Guns and getting 4 or 5 cans was easy out at the various "ranges" along the eastern side of the "Glades.

Toss in a reasonable pile of cash and we'd have a lot of ammo. A lot. We showed up with cases of ammo.

As a civilian, I recall one range session in the early 90s where I went through between 1200 and 1300 assorted rounds. Nowadays I'll take two to six firearms and perhaps two to three respective magazines full of ammo for each one. I may not shoot all of it. If I take an M1 or Kar 98k and hit the 400 meter gong offhand 60% to 80% of the time, I stop after one magazine. Otherwise it's boring -- BANG-Thunk-BANG-Thunk-BANG-Thunk-BANG-Thunk . . .

As a 2111, I can recall burning through 30 or so cans once to test several M2s, M60s, and M16A1s. Five of us and the Gunny had a lot of fun that day (summer 1974), but I recall getting approval for that much ammo to test the weapons was time-consuming.

I assume firefights in a combat zone don't count.

Awesome! Sounds like a lot of fun!
