Curious: How many guys carry a spare mag?

I have never carried a spare mag, however I am now thinking I may start. How many carry a spare mag, I am curious.

If you carry a gun you should have a spare mag. Not so much for round count but for a mag malfunction.



Besides..... No one has ever gotten into a gunfight and said dam I wish I hadn't brought all this ammo.

Didn't when I carried an auto, but carry speed loaders with my revolver. Looking back, I should have carried a spare.

Great minds think alike. I like to carry my 1911 but I think I may be EDC'ing my Walther P99 more with 15+1 AND an extra mag starting tomorrow.
I am not feeling as comfy with my 7+1 1911. And I love my 1911.

Never have. Probably never will.
I can't stand carrying anything I don't have to. I don't even use a wallet - I keep my DL, LTCF, a debit card, and occasionally a credit card wrapped with a rubber band in my front pocket. Change? I carry it to the car in my hand and deposit it in the console - can't STAND having change in my pocket.

I rarely carry anything larger than a .380 in a thin, nylon IWB holster for much the same reason. I tried a leather holster, but it was heavy and bulky.

Many times, I carry spare mages in the mag wells of a 2nd and sometimes a 3rd gun.
