    Default Assessment office questionnaire

So I bought a house in June, not my first. I just received a questionnaire from the assessment office requesting details on the sale other than what gets recorded at the courthouse. It's all official on letterhead and all, do I have to fill this out and return it, legally? Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything, but I don't feel the need to report that my house came with a refrigerator and stove or that the seller was not "forced" to sell the property.

I mention that this is not my first house because I don't remember getting one of these the last time I bought a house. If anyone can shed some light on what the requirements are I'd appreciated it.
I think the founding fathers meant exactly what they wrote: the government should not make any laws restricting the RIGHT of the people to 'hold or retain in one's possession' and 'hold or carry' guns and other weapons that would allow them to keep their government in line.

If it didn't come registered w/ signature required, you never got it.

In most cases assesments were done by college students and not the most accurate things in the world. They're just fishing for information so they know how far out of wack they are. It doesn't mean squat, the price you paid for your house & property shows up on the deed with a description...that's all they really need.

You do not have to answer the questionairre.

But if you don't they are free to guess at some of the questions answers that may have a bearing on the assessment and, if they do, its probably not going to be a guess in your favor.

What kind of questions are they asking?
