    Question Gun rust

I own a desert eagle with a poilished chrome finish and it has alot of oxidation and some rust around the trigger assembly. I have tried 0000 steel wool with gun oil but i cant seem to get all of it off. I need some suggestions on how to remove all the rust and oxidation from the gun i dont want to have to spend the 250 dollars to get it refinished at magnum research even tho if i got it in satin i wouldnt have to worry as much. Thanks

Try keeping the spot oiled. Realy let it soak in. Then hit it again with the steel wool.
