Is this a good deal?
I'm not real familiar with these, or how desirable at this price, but it peaked my interest.. Any input from those knowledgeable about c&r would be appreciated.. I know it's cheap and most likely won't be worth a lot more in a few years, but?

Re: Is this a good deal?
I should have said that this would be my first purchase of a pistol that was more than a few years old.. I get a ton of emails as of late for Makarovs and Radoms, but at that price, is this a good place to start with an older pistol?

Nothing wrong with a tokarev. They're generally a solid gun and 7.62x25 is no slouch. The supply of cheap ammo has pretty much dried up for them. There's plenty of new manufacture ammo out there for them priced around the same as .40 or .45. Would make a good range toy or tackle box gun at that price.

Somebody has also started manufacturing new Tokarevs but in 9mm. I believe it's Zastava. The original Tokarev chambered at 7.62x25, however, is the one to get!

Re: Is this a good deal?
I think Radom P64(if that's what your talking about) would be a better choice. Polish Radom was made to replace those Tokarev, and 9x18 is whole heck of a lot easier to find(and have decent choice of JHP).
AIM is selling one for $219(or $249 for better looking one)

Ever since I can no longer be able to find CZ82 cheap any more, P64 is my to get it soon before price goes up listAudemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Is this a good deal?
P64's look nice and are over built but they really suck to shoot. Spend the money on a CZ 82 if you just want a single 9x18.
I have a love hate relationship with the TOK. I love to keep buying them from all different countries but I hate shooting them since they feel like a pile with a 90 degree handle on it.

The first trigger pull on a P64 is heavy. Subsequent ones are still heavy but not quite as bad.
