They did not give up on the outdoor range, they were locked out by Tex for not paying the rent and letting the liability insurance lapse. The only degenerate scumbag is the lying owner. Do not give this guy your money! They are in bankruptcy and the way he does business will not survive.

I have been told the same thing by several reliable sources.

Does the dickhead from Iron City Armory still own it, or did it change ownership?

If new owners, I wish them the best.

I was assisting in a ladies pistol class today and i found out Jody (Personal Safety Alliance) bought the range and will be operating as of Oct 1st. This is great news! She will be holding a variety of classes - ladies and mixed and other informational events also.

The indoor or the outdoor range? I've been by the indoor range a few times in the last week and it looks like its closed down. Just curious.

My understanding, heard in a round about way, is that Tex's family still owns the property. Iron City Amory only leased it which they lost for lack of payment. William Drummond is Tex's nephew and wishes to reopen and run it.

Please Please Please tell me Jody didn't pay anywhere near the 2 million bucks that idiot wanted for the business. Didn't own the building, no inventory, horrible reputation that will be the hardest thing to overcome.

I don't know Jody Salerno, only heard and read about her as an instructor in the area. My wife talked to her by phone several years ago regarding some sort of women's shoot that she was doing at Anthony Arms at the time.

I really hope that she is able to turn the range around, clean it up, improve some of its short comings, adopt "good" range rules and policies for those of us who are interested in defensive firearms training/practice. It will take some work, but I believe that it can be done.

The range is only 5 mins from my business and less than 10 mins from my house, so I will be keeping an eye on what transpires with hopes of possibly joining if things are to my liking.
