G30 vs. G30SF plus my tricked out bedside G30
My son picked up a G30SF a couple weeks ago so after shooting and cleaning them up today I took some shots. The pictures tell the tale more than holding the 2, and frankly the grip IMHO makes very little difference. My G30's have standard sights, Colt got night sights. They shoot identical, GREAT!
Added bonus I threw in my bedside G30 with large capacity magazine with grip extension and a TLR-2 light/laser ........... Damn I like guns ......
The original point and click interface was a Colt Peacemaker!

Glock 30's rule!!!!!!!!! I personally think that the 3mm they took out of the back strap is a big difference. Gives me a shorter reach to the trigger, allowing for better trigger control. Oh Yeah Glock 30's Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: G30 vs. G30SF plus my tricked out bedside G30
I just bought a G30SF and was wondering if Scherer, Pearce or any other brand makes grip plugs for this model? I know they have it for the standard G30 and also the G21SF but the grips cavity are different on these models.
Does anybody happens to have a G30SF w/grip plug?

Pearce makes a plug for the 30SF. It will run you about $3.

Thank you sgtwissjr. Oh wow!...completely forgot about this thread since it was posted almost 2 years ago. But anyhow, I did founded on eBay few months later but not for $3.00, I think I paid @ $6.00 plus shipping. Now they're selling for $7 to $8.50 - Model PGFI30SF

Re: G30 vs. G30SF plus my tricked out bedside G30
If I was forced to get rid of ALL of my guns, but I could keep one... it'd be my G30SF.
I wanted the Glock 30 before I even knew what the "SF" was. I held the two back to back and yeah I could tell the difference, but it didn't really matter to me. When I was finally ready to buy one, I bought the SF because it was priced well and readily available at the shop. SF or not, they're both great!
I had the G30 with 13 round mag and TLR-2 as my bedside gun as well for awhile. But my Hk USP .45 relieved the G30 of that duty, now the G30 is carried. I also have a Hogue "HANDALL" grip on it. It looks weird until you're used to it, but HOLY COMFORTABLE! I'm addictied to Houge grips. my AR and Hk have Hogue's as well.
Glocks are awesome!
