This is bad...very bad. Do you think this will get passed? Either way, make sure we all go out and vote tomorrow.

New Jersey style draconian anti-gun legislation requiring gun owners and potential gun buyers to obtain a license has been introduced and referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee and has not yet been scheduled for a committee hearing.

Senate Bill 1029, sponsored by Sen. Haywood (D-4), would amend Title 18 by requiring Pennsylvania residents to obtain a license for possession, use, manufacture, control, sale or transfer of firearms.

In order to qualify for a license, an individual would need to be 18 or older and a resident of the Commonwealth. A resident would also need to complete a firearms safety course and pay unreasonable firearm eligibility licensing fees.

This legislation would have no impact on criminal activity and would severely infringe on your Second Amendment rights as law-abiding gun owners. Clearly, there is no dearth of existing firearm laws in Pennsylvania. There are more than enough statutory tools that exist at both the federal and state level just waiting to be enforced against criminals who misuse firearms.

Your NRA-ILA will continue to keep you updated on this and other legislation that impact your rights as gun owners.
People always ask me why i never smile.

It's completely different, cause voting is a right.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.
