    Yes is a long drawn out affair but it's worth it, think I applied for a LTCF same week I received paperwork

    The longest part of the wait is after the court oks the pardon it goes to the governor's desk for his signature. Governor Wolf is not going to be in any rush to sign a pardon. It will come though, and once you have the pardon in your hand with his signature on it you will know your record has been updated to reflect the pardon. If you have a criminal background check down it will state: " record exists but no convictions shown. Does NOT prohibit."

    That's interesting. I had a friend who received a pardon around 15 years ago and he had to have expungement before he could pass PICS/NICS...

    Yes, there's case law that requires the expungement in most cases.

    Does not effect a license to practice medicine in pa either. Says same result: record found but no convictions, does not prohibit

    First pics put me into "research " status. Went 15 days, no result. Filled out challenge paper work and psp sent reversal and have been good to go since
