Sure, I'll be there. What do you need to know?

Re: Appleseed shoots
Site says 4 to 5 hundred pounds over 2 days. It that right? That's a case between me and momma.
The three firing positions are prone, sitting and standing? Prone is mentioned but that's it.
Green tip 5.56 OK?

Re: Appleseed shoots
Prone, sitting/kneeling, and standing. Depending on weather, 500 rds/student/weekend should be good. Green tip is OK for 90% of what we do. If there is interest in going to the 200/300 yd range on Sunday (2 - 4 PM), bring some ammo that won't chew up the Club's steel. Whatever weather is forecast for Beaver County airport, it will be 5-10 degrees colder down at the Club. See you there.

Tks, yeah, I know it's always colder driving through the valley there. I live right above it in Patterson.

Re: Appleseed shoots
OP, do you own a .22 semi-auto rifle? Not only will the ammo be a lot cheaper for the shoot, but you don't have to deal with the recoil.

Re: Appleseed shoots
I can relate, shooting prone was really rough for me, with my knees I shot mostly prone, think about it, how often do you walk around looking at the clouds.. basically that's what you're simulating with prone.. I learned a lot but I won't be going back til I can go through the motions with ease.
Please don't let my post scare you off, I walked away from that weekend with a whole lot of knowledge..I can see why people will spend the 60bucks along with the other expense to go back.I'm looking forwarded to loosening up and doing another weekend...
