    I'm sure he's being paid for his efforts. Fuck both him and his son as well as his asshole mother who knew he had serious mental issues and did nothing about it.

    Damage control... he wants to make sure everyone knows that he's against guns, didn't know his kid had guns and wants all guns banned. This will help with the lawsuits later since this country is so sue happy. In this case for the victims' families suing the parents and the parents suing the manufacturers and FFL dealer.
