I wish someone with public recognition would explain the "gun show loophole" to the public. It has nothing to do with gun shows. It has to do with PA law allowing (for want of a better word) a citizen to sell a long gun to another citizen without a pics or nics background check. The sale, gifting or transfer can take place in a church parking lot as well as a gun show parking lot or within either building as well as other similar transactions.

Changing that will not affect the statistical fact of life that there will be the deranged among us no matter what and those deranged won't even know the law, let alone care about it, and it will not change the wrongful use of handguns.

She doesn't even realize how alarming it is to suggest rounding up people, locking them away because the neighbor, coworker, teacher or whoever, thinks they are weird.
Is it tin foil to think of men in black knocking on the door at night and taking away a family member? Interrogated until and if they are deemed no threat. What are the chances the person isn't a threat? We're living in a cover your ass society.

I sold a shotgun to another member behind a Dunkin' Donuts.
